Igor Lopes, better known as Havenga in the surfing industry, has been shaping any kind of surfboards you can imagine since 1990. From small tiny fishes up to scary 12 footers guns for Waimea passing through high performance models, tow-in, mini mals, longboards and stand ups with a particular attention to twinnies. His obsession for hydrodynamic designs and unconventional outlines motivated us to create an extremely close relationship with this incredible craftsman and the Limited Edition came to life. Our range of surfboards here at Truth is focused on timeless models, with an unique attention for quality, performance and aesthetic.
Based in the island of Florianópolis, Brasil, Truth is now available in Costa Rica at OloAlaia located in Nosara.

Meticolously refined.
Inspired by the authentic Havenga’s Lightwin, this model is a high performance twin available in swallow tail. The rocker and the rails are very refined to offer you the best sensibility in every part of the wave.
The bottom concave hides the volume and at the same time gives you a ton of speed without sacrificing stability. Available with channels as well from 5’4” up to 6’6”.
Wisely manufactured.
This is an altered version of the Lightwin with a wider tail and 4 channels bottom design. Available from 5’4” up to 6’6”.
Beautifully glassed.
Based on Havenga’s most popular design, The Hunter, this Limited Edition model introduces a beautiful round tail to draw smoother lines in the water.
The deck is less slightly flat compared to her sister and we recommend this shape for better waves and point breaks. Available from 5’6” to 6’6”.
Hydrodinamically shaped.
This flat deck fish is a sculpture more than anything. Keeping the same outline of The Hunter, Havenga added a beak nose to join the low rails all the way through the wing in the tail.
The result is a versatile model for everyday surf conditions. Available with channels from 5’6” up to 6’6”.
Passionately designed.
This is a classic Hawaiian fish for the nostalgic ones. Plenty of volume overall, this model combines the beauty of the classic lines with the modern epoxy lightweight construction to offer you the best of both worlds. Available from 5’4” up to 5’10”.
Delightfully colored.
We picked up one of the most versatile Havenga’s models, the Dragster, and tuned it to offer you an extremely forgiving thruster in any conditions you can imagine.
Available from 5’10” up to 6’6” with three fins or 5 plugs to use the board as a quad.
Elements
Our biggest challenge here at Truth is to manufacture “state of the art” surfboards. We care about every detail because each board is unique.
We only work with the best materials in the market to achieve performance and durability which are the keys for a magic surfboard.
With the same goal in mind we designed a T-shirts collection and a line of board bags.
Limited Edition: minimal, aesthetically inspired by art and design, refined and timelessly outstanding.
T-shirts
Brazilian organic cotton, stone washed and regular fit. These t-shirts have the same DNA as the surfboards and every one is screen printed by hand. Slow production, designed in Costa Rica and printed in Florianópolis, Brasil.
Board bags
It was impossible to leave these boards without a proper cover. For this reason we introduced the Ripstop, a high-performance woven fabric engineered to resist tearing and ripping using a special reinforcing technique.
It is lightweight, durable, and carries the same aesthetic of the entire Limited Edition.
